– Philip Klein

Composer and Orchestrator Philip Klein is a compelling young talent in the film music world. After a steady diet of drum corps and classical music throughout his childhood, Philip’s formal music education took him to Chicago where he studied trumpet and composition at Northwestern University. This classical foundation, combined with an extensive understanding of modern scoring techniques, allow him to seamlessly compliment every project he works on. Selected as one of six fellows for the 2011 Sundance Institute’s Film Composing Lab in Utah, Philip has always had a deep love for the interaction of music and film. Having worked and mentored in Hollywood with the finest composers in film and TV, Philip’s music has been heard in projects for Sony, Disney, Pixar, Lionsgate, ABC and CBS.

Recent features and shows Phil has worked on include composing the original film score for “The Last Full Measure”, starring Samuel L. Jackson, Christopher Plummer and Peter Fonda, orchestrations for “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them” for Warner Bros. and additional work on the mega-hit Star Wars show “The Mandalorian” for Disney. Philip also penned several new orchestral arrangements for Aerosmith’s current Las Vegas residency show, “Deuces Are Wild”, and has conducted orchestras from Hollywood to Nashville, New Zealand, Prague and Bulgaria. Film producer Gerald Hartke had known Philip for many years and was fully aware of his talents. When it came time to complete the soundtrack for Gerald’s film “Nicholas of Myra: The Story of Saint Nicholas” and arrange an epic orchestral rendition of the song Carol Of The Drum for the end credits, he knew that Philip was the perfect artist for the job.
